For years I struggled with my health – I tried everything from crash diets to 8-week weight loss programs in hopes to discover something to help me feel good again, but nothing worked. In fact, everything I tried made me feel worse. I was constantly stressed, I was struggling with disordered eating, severe anxiety, my digestion was poor, and I was trying to clear up my hormonal acne by going on the birth control pill (not a good idea!). After many years of struggle, overcoming these challenges is what eventually lead me to become a nutritionist – in hopes that fewer people would struggle without support like I once did.
I obtained my designation as a R.H.N at The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. Through my studies I was able to understand various concepts of health and wellness, learn about a holistic approach to health, and understand the importance of the mind/body connection. There is no ‘one size fits all’ diet, workout, supplement, or lifestyle for any individual. Therefore, through an individualistic approach, I work with my clients to uncover root issues, restore energy, gain confidence, and provide support as they make changes.
If I have learned anything from my health journey, it is that you’re not supposed to feel starving, bloated, exhausted, overwhelmed, or deprived, and if the way you’re currently eating is making you feel any of these things – it’s time to change it up! I want my clients to find space in their lives to take care of themselves and uncover the healthiest way of eating they actually enjoy. I’m not going to scold you for eating a cupcake, but I will help you find ways to feel organized and in control and explore the factors that may be impacting your choices.
